Joseph executive-produced Tsotsi, winner of the Best Foreign Picture Oscar for 2006 and is working on Red Dwarf, a feature from the TV series. His first production was Blonde Fist, still in the all time top five of Channel Four’s Film on Four slot. He later Exec produced The Big Freeze with Bob Hoskins, Eric Sykes and Spike Milligan as well as producing 26 episodes of Channel 5’s Dark Knight.
Joseph established Blue Dolphin in 1980 and it is now one of the leading and longest running Independent Distributors in the UK. By employing innovative sales patterns for Theatrical and Home Video releases, films are exploited with maximum potential utilizing Blue Dolphin’s in house PR & Marketing team. The company handles the MGM/UA library theatrically in the UK together with it’s own catalogue. The company has over two thousand films in distribution. Blue Dolphin also has a production arm developing and funding features.
Joe has used his extensive experience to build a company that has established itself as one of the leading independent distributors in the country, employing innovative distribution patterns for a diverse range of films. From music titles such as Neil Young’s Rust Never Sleeps, Dylan’s Don’t Look Back and the ground breaking Koyaanisquatsi – to films from major Hollywood studios like:

Blue Dolphin also represented all other independent distributors in the ancillaries market placing films in hotels, airlines, ships etc. Their clients included Palace, Virgin, Medusa, Mainline, Recorded Picture Co and about thirty other companies.
Recent hits in distribution have included Great Day in Harlem, Madame Butterfly, The Square Circle, Different for Girls, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Elvis’ That’s the Way It Is and La Bête.
